Rom Files

Standard euro WRX spec vehicles are fitted with either AF530v3-7552-blk-enc , AF530v3-7554-brn-enc or AF531v3-enc.

Early 2001 WRX model were fitted with AF530v3 (either 7552 blk(BLACK ECU LABEL) or 7554(BROWN ECU LABEL).

You cannot change one ECU version to another by reprogramming.

You can "copy and paste" maps from one version of ROM file to another (i.e. copy and paste a af531v3 boost table
into an af530v3...)

Early WRX (ie AF530v3 ECUs) suffer from hesitation (caused by retarded ignition and over rich A.F.R.).

Look at af531v3 and af530v3 ignition correction maps to see the af531 is "allowed" to
run more maximum ignition correction. Also check "Lo DET" and Hi Det" AFR's.

Are files which are for vehicles with full exhaust systems including removed first cat("decat UPPIPE").
We recommend using this file only with the first cat (pre turbocharger) removed (decat) otherwise preturbo cat damage may occur
in extreme conditions.

Boost pressure is 1.14 bar creeping to 1.18 bar on full throttle only from 2800rpm to 5200 rpm.

Wastegate duty cycles have been reduced in the midrange around peak torque (2800rpm to 3500 rpm) to prevent overboost problems.

Ignition timing has also been advanced to improve performance and response.

"Lo det" fuel map has also been reduced but "hi det" left standard. Please note AFR are still at least 10:1 on full power
at high rpm!.

Due to higher levels of midrange boost pressure we've raised the boost limit to 1.3 bar to prevent "fuel cut".

knock learning thresholds have also been raised to help knock learning at higher load areas.

These programs have also been tested on 95 octane fuel though we recommend use of Super Unleaded fuel at 97 octane+.

With the Subaru's advanced knock control system the ECU is able to react extremely well to different grade of fuel.
This however does not mean that all vehicles should not be road tested and data logged with DELTA DASH to be sure of no problems.

Remember after reprogramming the ECU the vehicle will need to be driven for up to 50 miles to "relearn" the maximum amount of
ignition advance it can run for each zone.
It does this quite quickly and can be seen on delta dash-knock correction advancing the timing almost immediately after an ECU RESET.
Generally between 4-8 deg of positive knock correction is a happy running engine.
If knock correction values below 4 deg are logged with Delta Dash then we would suggest modifying the ignition tables.

This program typically delivers 275 BHP and 260 lbs.ft (352Nm) torque used with Super Unleaded fuel (97 octane).
It has also been tested with 95 octane and although a slight power reduction is recorded it is still VERY SAFE..

PLEASE NOTE THE FILES SUPPLIED SHOULD BE USED WITH CARE AND TESTED WITH DELTA DASH.
